Description: The total amount of the toxic chemical released to air at the facility during the reporting year (January 1 - December 31). Release amounts are reported in grams for Dioxin and Dioxin like compounds and in pounds for all other chemicals. This total is the sum of:

5.1 - Fugitive or non-point air emissions
5.2 - Stack or point air emissions

Release amounts may be reported as specific numbers or as ranges. The following ranges can be used to report emissions:

1-10 lbs (mid-point 5 lbs)
11-499 lbs (mid-point 250 lbs)
500-999 lbs (mid-point 750 lbs)

If a facility reports a range, the mid-point of the range is used when calculating totals.
