Methods to Identify SR Opportunities: T04: Participative team management
Methods to Identify SR Opportunities: T04: Participative team management
Source Reduction - Phenols are inherently in our solvent-based grades. Our R&D group has also designed "latex-based" aka water-based grades which are phenol-free. We are promoting for our customers to make the switch to the latex-based. Some are doing so in a slow, but steady rate.
2006 Source Reduction:: W14: Changed production schedule to minimize equipment and feedstock changeovers
Source Reduction:: W42: Substituted raw materials
Methods to Identify SR Opportunities: T04: Participative team management
Methods to Identify SR Opportunities: T04: Participative team management
Source Reduction - Phenols are in certain solvent-based resins. The market and our company outlook is favoring more and more latex or water-based replacements. This is eliminating some of our phenol-based production usage.
