Barriers to P2: B6 - Pollution prevention previously implemented - additional reduction does not appear technically or economically feas - SOURCE REDUCTION METHODOLOGIES PREVIOUSLY IMPLEMENTED INCLUDE: CLEANING INTERIOR SURFACES OF PROCESS EQUIPMENT WITH SOLVENTS THAT ARE A COMPONENT OF THE PRODUCT PREVIOUSLY FORMULATED IN THE SYSTEM. RINSATE IS COLLECTED AND UTILIZED AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR VIRGIN SOLVENT IN SUBSEQUENT FORMULATION CAMPAIGNS. IN SITUATIONS WHERE THE ABOVE PRACTICE CANNOT BE UTILIZED, STEAM GENERATORS AND HIGH-PRESSURE WANDS ARE USED TO MINIMIZE THE AMOUNT OF RINSEWATER NECESSARY TO CLEAN THE EQUIPMENT TO NECESSARY LEVELS.
