Barriers: B8-Barriers to P2 B8 - A reduction does not appear to be technically feasible
Barriers to P2: B8 - A reduction does not appear to be technically feasible - The uses of this material is in making a part and soldering material both of which are quality controlled - many by gov't standard. Other Environmental Practices: Recycling - When we generate scrap or repair old tubes we do generate solid scrap which we do recycle via a metal recycler, 2022 saw a drastic reduction in production due to supply chain issues and we did not have enough to recycle at this time, i would expect to see 2023 values increase to account for this decrease. |

Barriers: B8-Barriers to P2 B8 - A reduction does not appear to be technically feasible
Barriers to P2: B8 - A reduction does not appear to be technically feasible - majority of use of this material is in soldering and from making a molded metal part, we do not have the ability to make it from other materials and our use is already very little, further reductions do not seem possible at this time. |
2020 |
Other Environmental Practices: Recycling - We do recycle removed lead from our refurbed tubes and we do recycle the excess lead from lead process if it can not be re-melted and used. |

Barriers: B8-Barriers to P2 B8 - A reduction does not appear to be technically feasible
Barriers to P2: B8 - A reduction does not appear to be technically feasible - the emissons are fugitive from heating lead up to molten to mold a part, the pot only runs to heat lead up and pour it, limiting the emissions already. |

Barriers: B7-Barriers to P2 B7 - No known substitutes or alternative technologies.
Barriers to P2: B7 - No known substitutes or alternative technologies. - Majority of use onsite is for radiation shielding. Other Environmental Practices: Recycling - Any solid waste generated is sent for recycling |

2017 |
Barriers: B7-Barriers to P2 B7 - No known substitutes or alternative technologies.
Other Environmental Practices: Recycling - any solid waste generated of lead can be recycled and is. Barriers to P2: B7 - No known substitutes or alternative technologies. - Large majority of the use of this chemical is for radiation shielding, any disposal is recycled - we did not dispose of any in 2017 just purchased for use both on-site and for production. |

Barriers: B7-Barriers to P2 B7 - No known substitutes or alternative technologies.
Barriers to P2: B7 - No known substitutes or alternative technologies. - No other material can be used to take the place of lead in the process. Other Environmental Practices: Recycling - The material we are able to collect is sent to a local metal recycling company. |
