Source Reduction - Significant scrap nickel-Based wire losses were realized in 2006. An engineering position was partially dedicated to the statistical analysis of wire processing parameters, and backspool (Feedstock) sizes were 'Fitted' to final, i.E., customer requirements. So while our throughput of nickel based alloys stayed at around 27,000 pounds for the second year in a row the scarp percentage was dramaticlly reduced. |
