Source Reduction - Jackson Dairy had some slow fugitive ammonia leaks in 2009. Our facility is constantly working on the reduction of these.

Source Reduction - In year 2007 jackson dairy conducted renovations to the facility. A new extended shelf-Life product line was installed for organic milk and soy. The facilities ammonia refrigeration system had to be expanded by $1.5 million dollars. There were many ammonia pump downs and tie-Ins required to complete the project, which cause most of the losses. The refrigeration system was expanded to include some new equipment; ammonia high recirculator, hvac, four direct expansion silos and a glycol chiller.
