Source Reduction: Source Reduction - Lead elimination project started in previous year is under way. Phase-out of intentionally added lead is anticipated to be phased out in Q3 of 2019.

2017
Source Reduction: Source Reduction - PPG has committed to removing lead from its products by 2020. Activities started in 2016 to reduce the amount of lead in our products. The source reduction activities continued in 2017.

Methods to Identify SR Opportunities: T04: Participative team management
W81: PPG started the process to phase out lead from products by 2020. This involves chemists reformulating products to eliminate lead. The work started in 2016, but the process will take multiple years as customers will need to approve the changes.
