Other Environmental Practices - INSTALLATION OF NICKEL SULFATE RECOVERY SYSTEM. SYSTEM WAS INSTALLED IN JUNE 2007. THE SYSTEM WAS OPERATION FOR A MAJORITY OF THE 2ND HALF OF 2007, THOUGH THE TECHNOLOGY was STILL BEING IMPROVED. Old technology was utilized for part of 2008, until equipment failure. New technology installed in 2009. |

Source Reduction - Installation of nickel sulfate recovery system. System was installed in june 2007. The system was operation for a majority of the 2nd half of the year, though the technology is still being improved. |
2006 | Source Reduction - Reduced water usage by: 1) combined plating rinse baths together to reduce volume of water used. 2) air lift water from the bottom drain at the back of tank to the top front of the next rinse tank. 3) improve water circulation in the rinse tanks. 4) install filters on rinses to remove particles from rinse. Reduced water usage results in less water requiring treatment, which results in reduced releases of metals & nitrates. | ||
