W13: All resin deliveries are highly anticipated and prepared for well in advance of tanker truck arrivals to insure adequate staff is available for safe transfers and minimal waste/spillage. W31: Replaced all bulk storage tanks to a cone-bottom style resulting in complete use of resin W32: Eliminated a gated trunk-line style bulk feed system for resin transfer to individual tank transfer lines allowing for much better control of transfers and significantly reduced waste/spills. Source Reduction - Purchasing Manager and Maintenance Lead coordinate regularly with monitoring of resin balance on-hand to insure timely delivery and no shelf-life aging issues. Source Reduction - Staff brought the idea to the Process and Operations Managers, and talked through all ramifications to ultimately get this change completed. Source Reduction - The maintenance and production staff responsible for the day-to-day use of these bulk tanks made the recommended changes and researched to get it accomplished.
