2019 |
Other Environmental Practices: General Environmental Management - The site continues to complete annual environmental training to educate all employees at the facility. |

2018 |
Other Environmental Practices: General Environmental Management - As mentioned for other Form R's, we increased housekeeping measure in our scrap yard to eliminate pollution. We also have SWPP Training scheduled June 12th. This will reoccur on an annual basis. |
||
2017 | Other Environmental Practices - We implemented a weekly pollution prevention inspection to be sure all raw material is always covered properly, and the site is clean and orderly from an environmental perspective. This inspection is pro-active effort to ensure contaminants are not reaching the environment. | ||

Barriers: B3-Barriers to P2 B3 - Concern that product quality may decline as a result of source reduction.
|
Barriers to P2: B3 - Concern that product quality may decline as a result of source reduction. - Sources of this chemical are used in the formulation of our products, and are necessary to make the proper material recipes for our different alloys. Reducing the source material would disable us from making certain products. |

Barriers: B3-Barriers to P2 B3 - Concern that product quality may decline as a result of source reduction.
|
Barriers to P2: B3 - Concern that product quality may decline as a result of source reduction. - This year the facility used less Nickel than in past years. However, the source chemical is used in the formulation of certain alloy grades produced at the facility, and eliminating or reducing Nickel would disable us from being able to produce certain alloy grades. Other Environmental Practices: Recycling - This year's recycling numbers reported are drastically higher than those reported in the past. In the past a mass balance calculation was used based on assumed recycling values, and a production ratio. This year we were able to obtain more accurate numbers that better reflected actual recycling. Additionally, the facility changed recycling vendors which has yielded higher levels of metals recovery. |

|
Barriers to P2: B7 - No known substitutes or alternative technologies. - Nickel is used as a key component in formulating alloys that we sell. No known substitute exists to replace Nickel in our alloys. |
