Source Reduction - We will institute new raw materials when these become available from vendors to reduce emissions for this chemical. |
2009 | Source Reduction - As part of our MACT Standard for Composites Manufacturing, we implement the usage of low styrene-containing resin and gel chemicals used in our steps production to comply with the standard. Therefore we are always looking for non-HAP's or low HAP-containing chemicals that can still help our processing. As chemical manufacturers evolve with non-HAP chemicals for our processes, we substitute these for higher HAP ones, thus reducing our pollution sources. We also look for recycling opportunities for our waste streams instead of other polluting treatments.
2008 | Source Reduction - Reduced styrene content in our gelcoat raw material in 2007 and used that same lowere styrene containing gelcoat throughout 2008. No changes in resin usage have taken place, since we are using the lowest styrene content resin, as per what our current supplier carries for our process.
