---|---|---|---|
2022 |
Source Reduction:: S31: Instituted better labeling, testing, or other inventory management practices
|
Methods to Identify SR Opportunities: T04: Participative team management
|
Source Reduction - facility used first in first out, better processes for when using portable resin in totes |
2021 |
Source Reduction:: S33: Improved containment or material handling operations
|
Methods to Identify SR Opportunities: T04: Participative team management

Barriers to P2: B6 - Pollution prevention previously implemented - additional reduction does not appear technically or economically feas - This process already uses fluid impingement technology, lower styrene raw materials, automated movement to eliminate overspray waste and uses vaccum bags to help with emission reduction. Further technologies are not available for this size of parts or economically feasible. Other Environmental Practices: General Environmental Management - Our company utilizes inventory controls for reduction of waste from expired shelve life, and works with our suppliers and trade associations to investigate new technologies as they become available. Scales and other devices are used to ensure product consistency. |

Source Reduction:: W13: Improved maintenance scheduling, recordkeeping, or procedures
|
Methods to Identify SR Opportunities: T04: Participative team management
Methods to Identify SR Opportunities: T10: Vendor assistance |
Source Reduction - Employee and supervisor teams managing raw materials for storage so no outdated materials. Weighing materials to make sure their is consistent product Source Reduction - Making deliveries according to production line due dates, instead of stock piles. |
2017 |
Source Reduction:: W41: Increased purity or raw materials
|
Methods to Identify SR Opportunities: T10: Vendor assistance
Methods to Identify SR Opportunities: T09: Trade association/industry technical assistance program |
W41: We are constantly trying to update and work with our suppliers for lower HAP containing products and application techniques. Other Environmental Practices: General Environmental Management - Always working with our vendors and trade association for environmentally sound application methods and raw materials |
2016 |
Source Reduction:: W19: Other changes in operating practices
|
Methods to Identify SR Opportunities: T04: Participative team management
Methods to Identify SR Opportunities: T10: Vendor assistance |
W19: Added scales and product weighing devices for more consistent part sizes and weights to help with less scrap and waste product |
2015 |
Other Barriers to Source Reduction - setting up new process so already production was limited and down. The equipment is designed as controlled technology as it is and more automated so at this time no further reduction could be implemented. |
