Source Reduction - Appleton Coated has undertaken measures to substitute biofuels, including wood and paper pellets, to reduce the use of coal as a fuel source at our facility. These measures have resulted in a significant decrease in our use of coal as well as the release of those chemicals related to coal use.
Other Barriers to Source Reduction - Meeting permit limits and future Boiler MACT requirements will be a challenge in implementing the use of biofuels. |
