Source Reduction - Use of sulfide precipiataion in our en waste treatment system in 2005 improved the nickel precipiatation in our system from an average of about 2.0 ppm nickel to 1.0 ppm nickel as discharged. This dramatically improved out ability to capture the nickel in our process system and will allow us to send more metal out for recycling. In 2006: remove eden dialysis system but will begin to treat waste spent en as a sulfide precipitation. This will capture the nickel in the en waste treatment system and will precipitate the nickel as recylcable nickel sulfide which is being sent to alpha omega recycling. |
