Barriers: B6-Barriers to P2 B6 - Pollution prevention previously implemented - additional reduction does not appear technically or economically feas |
Source Reduction - Flow rate is 1 liter per minute, process time is 30 seconds.Used to dump after single use. Now recycle a 25 liter bath with 1800 wafer bath life. Barriers to P2: B6 - Pollution prevention previously implemented - additional reduction does not appear technically or economically feas - While the total starts are lower, an increasing portion of our work is coming from 3rd party facilities. This chemical is used to pre-clean those parts so they don't contaminate our facility. Towards the end of the year a chemical re-use was implemented, which should result in a reduction in chemical use for the same quantity of remote sourced parts, but we expect that part of our business to continue to increase, That is why I'm predicting an increasing rate reduction. |

Barriers to P2: B6 - Pollution prevention previously implemented - additional reduction does not appear technically or economically feas - Point of use burn/scrub units are installed on all HF producing equipment. Industrial scrubbers further clean the emissions. |

2016 |
Other Barriers to Source Reduction - Concerns about facility sale drove focus on cost savings and quality of product yield |
||
2012 | Other Environmental Practices - In 2012 we switched to a different HF supplier who upon receipt of used containers reuses the containers and remaining HF that was in those containers, therefore re-using what we ship as waste. | ||
