Barriers: B7-Barriers to P2 B7 - No known substitutes or alternative technologies.
|
Other Environmental Practices: Recycling - Facility currently recycles 100% of lead and lead compounds. Extremely low quantities escape in waste water and air emissions. Barriers to P2: B7 - No known substitutes or alternative technologies. - Facility makes special lead batteries. There currently is no substitute for lead with this process. |

Other Environmental Practices - The facility processes a considerable quantity of lead to manufacture specialized batteries. Process waste water had all but 0.08397562 pounds of lead removed in 2011 from the waste stream by an on-site waste water treatment plant. This small quantity of lead is discharged and proceeds to the POTW. Periodic monitoring throughout the year is used to estimate the release. |

Other Environmental Practices - The facility processes a considerable quantity of lead to manufacture specialized batteries. Process waste water had all but 0.118263818 pounds of lead removed from the waste water stream by an on-site waste water treatment plant in 2010. This small quantity of lead was discharged and proceeded to the POTW.Production of batteries increased greatly in 2010 from 2009. The production ratio of 3.36 has been validated. The increased production also resulted in increased on-site recycling of batteries. |

Other Environmental Practices - This facility processes a considerable quantity of lead to manufacture specialized batteries. Process waste had all but 0.01889369 pounds of lead removed from the waste stream by an on-site waste water treatment plant in 2009. This small quantity of lead was discharged and proceeded to the POTW. An estimate of the quantity released to the POTW was determined through monitoring of the waste stream during the year. |
