Other Environmental Practices: Waste Treatment - The primary driver, as this product is made in a batch process is the need to clean the system in between product switches. There was a substantial increase in the number of product switches in calendar year 2014 over 2013. Treatment of butyl chloroformate was completed primarily by hydrolysis; it was this process change that contributed to the increase discharge and treatment of the n-butyl alcohol at our POTW in 2014 over 2013. |
