Source Reduction - Between batch product switches we flush the reactor with material prior to restarting production. We had fewer reactor switches this year. |

Other Environmental Practices: Waste Treatment - The primary driver, as this product is made in a batch process is the need to clean the system in between product switches. There was a substantial increase in the numberof product switches in calendar year 2014 over 2013.Treatment of methyl chlorocarbonate was completed primarily by hydrolysis, it was this process change that contributed to the increase in off-site treatment of TRI regulated alcohols in 2014 over 2013. |
