Barriers: B3-Barriers to P2 B3 - Concern that product quality may decline as a result of source reduction.
|
Barriers to P2: B3 - Concern that product quality may decline as a result of source reduction. - Using a non-lead based solder is still a long term quality concern with a few of our customers. Other Environmental Practices: Recycling - We continually recycling all plastics, cardboard and metals at our facility. |

Source Reduction: Ways P2 Was Incorporated in Original Process Design - We currently recycle cardboard, plastics and metals at our facility. We also use energy efficient LED lighting and double door integrity to increase building insulation. Barriers to P2: B3 - Concern that product quality may decline as a result of source reduction. - Not using Lead based solder used in electronic assembly is still a long term quality concern in Military and Networking electronic assemblies. |

Barriers: B7-Barriers to P2 B7 - No known substitutes or alternative technologies.
|
Barriers to P2: B7 - No known substitutes or alternative technologies. - Some customer cannot yet move away from lead based products due to lack of quality substitutes in the electronic market Other Environmental Practices: Recycling - Our facility has a comprehensive recycling program in which recycle plastics, paper, cardboard cans, and any other recyclable product we acquire. We annually train all company employees on the importance of recycling at work and at home. Employee who do not have recycling means at home are encouraged to bring said items to work for recycling. |

Other Barriers to Source Reduction - Electronic circuit board assembly using 63/37 SnPb or RoHS SAC solder is customer driven. Other Environmental Practices: Recycling - We recycle everything we are able. Paper, cardboard, plastics, 63/37 solder and any and all other metals. Source Reduction: Methods for Identifying Pollution Prevention Opportunities - We provide annual training on P2 and provide employees with a suggestion box for employee idea submissions. We have clearly marked large P2 containers through-out the facility for disposal of materials which will later be sent out for recycling. |

Source Reduction - The RoHS intiative requires electronics assemblies to be provided no longer containing lead. For this reason, we will be using much less lead in our product |
2012 | Source Reduction - With the RoHS initiative taking more of an affect on the use of lead in electronics, we are continually reducing lead in the assembly of electronic assemblies. We hope there will be a day very soon where lead will no longer be required.
2010 | Other Environmental Practices - As more Lead free base electronic (RoHS) assemblies are mandated our Lead usage should decrease.
2009 | Other Environmental Practices - We currently recycle cardboard boxes, batteries, computer items, used burnt out floresent light bulbs, and any and all metals. We are are always looking for ways to consume less power as it is very expensive by the KW. We are currently doing everything we can to reduce waste. |
