Column Name: COLLECT_END

Description: For most media the sampling date is the date the sample was collected. However, since air samples are taken over a period of time, the end of collection date is used to represent sampling date. For Strontium-90 in milk during the period 1960 through July 1978, sample specific collection dates were not published for routine samples, so the 15th of the month is used as the sampling date for data reporting purposes. For non-routine samples collected during 1976 and 1977 (i.e., increased samplingdue to Chinese atmospheric nuclear weapons tests) specific collection dates are available and are used.
