W19: Process improvement began in 2017, which was initiation of a procedure to promptly move incoming product (isocyanate product) from the receiving dock areas into temperature-controlled storage area, thus decreasing the chance for product to go bad due to temperature and the need to be scrapped and sent off-site as waste. In RY 2017 and RY 2018, the process improvement allowed for all the product to be completely consumed and zero pounds sent off-site as waste. Source Reduction - Employees identified process improvement to reduce waste. Source Reduction - Amount of chemical scrapped and sent off-site as waste in 2016 prompted team to revisit process/procedures and identify process improvements to minimize waste. |
