Source Reduction - We started to push paint through the lines with air instead of solvent reducing the amount of wash solvent needed Source Reduction - We replaced a solvent wash tank with a unit that uses hot corrosive soap as opposed to solvent Source Reduction - Implemented paint dispensin system to make precise amounts of paint thereby reducing inventory |
2010 | Source Reduction - Linetec has implemented a paint dispensing system and a paint flusj=hing system that will help with reduced waste. | ||

The Waste Management Hierarchy |
The waste management hierarchy established by the Pollution Prevention Act (PPA) guides waste generators toward the best options for managing wastes.
The preferred option is to prevent pollution at its source, but for waste that is generated, the preferred management methods are recycling, followed
by burning for energy recovery, treatment and, as a last resort, disposing of the waste.
