Barriers to P2: B6 - Pollution prevention previously implemented - additional reduction does not appear technically or economically feas - We have implemented things in the past, but there was no new technology that was economically feasible in 2016. |

Source Reduction:: W32: Improved procedures for loading, unloading, and transfer operations[-0-4%]

Methods to Identify SR Opportunities: T01: Internal pollution prevention opportunity audit(s)

Source Reduction - We now have drip buckets that collect any spilled material. That material is then reworked back into another batch that calls for the ingredient. Other Environmental Practices: Recycling - Almost any chemicals used in process that is generated by spills and daily activities can be reworked back into product. There is very little true waste associated with production. |
The Waste Management Hierarchy |
The waste management hierarchy established by the Pollution Prevention Act (PPA) guides waste generators toward the best options for managing wastes.
The preferred option is to prevent pollution at its source, but for waste that is generated, the preferred management methods are recycling, followed
by burning for energy recovery, treatment and, as a last resort, disposing of the waste.
