Barriers: B7-Barriers to P2 B7 - No known substitutes or alternative technologies.
|
Source Reduction: Source Reduction - Emissions reported based on new emission factor. New emission factor based on stack test performed in 2015. This stack test reflected for the first time operation of ammonia scrubber. Such a scrubber should significantly reduce emissions of acid gas as these results show. Barriers to P2: B7 - No known substitutes or alternative technologies. - This substance is inherently present in raw material (coal). No known feasible method to remove. |

2013 |
Other Barriers to Source Reduction - Present in coal |
||
2012 |
Other Barriers to Source Reduction - 7. Other - TMPAhas begun controling emissions of this pollutant as the FGD should also reduce emissions of acid gases. However stack testing has not yet been done to quantify this reduction. |
The Waste Management Hierarchy |
The waste management hierarchy established by the Pollution Prevention Act (PPA) guides waste generators toward the best options for managing wastes.
The preferred option is to prevent pollution at its source, but for waste that is generated, the preferred management methods are recycling, followed
by burning for energy recovery, treatment and, as a last resort, disposing of the waste.
