Chrome

• To disable
  1. Access the Google Chrome menu on the toolbar.
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Click on Show Advanced Settings.
  4. Under Privacy click the Content Settings button.
  5. Choose the Allow all sites to show pop-ups option.
  6. Click Done to close Content Settings window.
• To allow pop-ups from TRI Explorer
  Follow the steps above to access Content Settings
  Under Pop-ups click the Manage Exceptions button.
  Enter this address (https://enviro.epa.gov/) in the Hostname pattern textbox.
  Click Done.

Firefox

• To disable
  1. Open the Options window in Firefox.
  2. Select the Content panel.
  3. Uncheck the Block Popup Windows option.
  4. Click OK to close the options window.
• To allow pop-ups from TRI Explorer
  Open the Options window in Firefox.
  Select the Content panel.
  Click theExcpetions...button.
  1. Enter this address (https://enviro.epa.gov/triexplorer/) in the Hostname pattern textbox.
  2. Click Close to close the Allowed Sites window.

Internet Explorer

• To disable
  1. On the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker.
  2. Then click Turn Off Pop-up Blocker to disable the functionality.
• To allow pop-ups from TRI Explorer
  1. On the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker.
  2. Then click Pop-up Blocker Settings.
  3. Add this address to the "Address of Website to allow". https://enviro.epa.gov/triexplorer/
  4. Select the Add button, then Select the Close button.

Safari

• To disable
  1. Open the Safari dropdown menu.
  2. From the dropdown menu select Preferences.
  3. Go to the Security tab.
  4. Uncheck the Block Popup Windows option.
• To allow pop-ups from TRI Explorer
  Safari has no per-website options for controlling pop-ups.

Google Toolbar

• To disable
  1. Open the Google Toolbar Options window.
  2. In the Accessories section click off checkbox next to the pop-up blocker option

  Click Add to whitelist.

AOL Toolbar

• To disable
  1. Click the Blocking Pop-ups icon on the AOL toolbar.
  2. Then click Turn Pop-up Controls Off.
• To allow pop-ups from TRI Explorer
  Click the Blocking Pop-ups icon on the AOL toolbar.
  Then click Allow Pop-up from ..

Norton AntiSpam and Norton Internet Security 2005 and later

• To disable
  1. In the main window, on the left side click Norton AntiSpam.
  2. Click Pop-Ups Blocking -> Turn off.

Norton AntiSpam and Norton Internet Security 2004 and earlier

• To disable
  1. In the main window, double-click Ad Blocking.
  2. Uncheck Pop-up Window Blocking.
  3. Click OK.
