RECY | Recycling | Recycling has become an integral part of our business. Finding beneficial use of out-of-spec/beyond shelf-life metals have benefited all stakeholders. Instead of incurring cost to transfer, stabilize and landfill materials now the materials continue to add value through a reconditioned second life. Although the dollarized value revenue stream is very small it does help to defray cost of the initial purchase with subsequent benefits to all stakeholders. |
SRNA | B99 - Other | Even though production throughputs have remained relatively flat, some reductions of pollutants have occured due to product mix and a shift from leaded solders to non-leaded solders. Other reductions have occured as a result of a shift to no-clean technology which subsequently reduces water consumption while simultaneously reducing prospective pollution. The primary change of final disposition has occured as a result of off-site recycle. Maintaining beneficial use of metals is not only a win for the environment but also benefits the business and our customers as well. Multiple stakeholders and multiple wins. |
